Reflection-week 1

The first two weeks in Crossroads have been rewarding. The orientation week gave me a comprehensive guideline of the program in terms of team-building, historical information, archive research, field work and document processing.  It helps me to see the bigger purpose of this program and triggers curiosity for my later work in the project.

The first week of actual work has been a time for me to see the importance of cooperation and division of work in the team. Since the first week involved a lot of administrative matters, clear division of work helped the team to function much efficiently. It was also the time for all members to find their place in the team where everyone can bring out their strengths. As we were doing historical research on the Cleaborn neighborhood, I was amazed to find the helpful resources in the community, both human resources and physical documents. I believe my team mates and I would dig out more about the community as the project continues.
